Make Noise Today started in May 2020 by calling everyone to STAND UP & STAND OUT for Asian Americans. At that time, we had begun to see an increase in hate crimes against our community and as much as we wish this hadn’t been the case, in the year that’s gone by we’ve seen more violence, incidents of hate, and disappointing institutional responses directed at Asian Americans. However, this is also true: there is plenty to celebrate and be thankful for as well.⁠⁠

We have been so encouraged by and excited to be moving in action with all of the people who have advised us, supported us, shared our work, and contributed their stories.⁠⁠ We’re honored to have been working with other organizations providing much needed value in their own areas of expertise and communities. And we know that there is work to be done still.⁠⁠ We’re still making noise everyday and we hope you will too, whatever that looks like for you.
