  • Cultural Representation (25 points): How effectively the piece reflects Asian American heritage.

  • Originality (20 points): Degree of creativity and uniqueness.

  • Technical Skill (20 points): Mastery of the chosen medium.

  • Emotional Impact (20 points): Ability to convey emotion or provoke thought.

  • Artist Statement (15 points): Explanation of the intention behind the piece and its relation to Asian American identity.

    Performing Arts

  • Cultural Integrity (25 points): Authenticity and respect for traditional forms or innovative fusion.

  • Technique (20 points): Mastery of the chosen art form.

  • Performance Energy (20 points): Ability to engage and capture the audience.

  • Emotional Depth (20 points): Depth of emotion and character portrayal.

  • Storyline or Theme (15 points): Clarity and power of narrative or theme, especially as related to Asian American experiences.

    Literary Arts

  • Cultural Narrative (25 points): Insight into Asian American experiences or perspectives.

  • Originality (20 points): Freshness of perspective.

  • Technical Skill (20 points): Coherence and pacing of content.

  • Emotional Resonance (20 points): Ability to move or provoke the reader.

  • Storytelling (15 points): Character, journey, tension.
