Know the Activist - Mabel Ping-Hua Lee
The @nytimes wrote a fantastic article about Mabel Ping-Hua Lee, a Chinese immigrant, who dedicated her life to fighting against injustices, speaking up for the rights of all people and working to ensure equity and inclusion and real democratic values are upheld - starting with leading one of the largest marches in the nation for the women's suffrage movement in 1912.
Here we are over 100 years later and still fighting for the same things. But because of people like Mabel Ping-Hua Lee, we have the strength to keep going. We need to keep standing up against racism and hatred. We need to keep making noise and having our voices heard.
